This confuses older games, which interpret the XBOne pad's horizontal axis for the right stick, as the old X360 trigger button shared axis, while simultaneously making the horizontal axis for the right stick and the separate axes of the XBOne pad unusable. However, Microsoft also changed the order in which the axes are reported to DirectInput. The XBOne pad is set up with two wholy separate axes for each individual trigger. This quirk makes it so that you cannot press and hold the triggers simultaneously in DirectInput. The X360 pad had a single axis shared between both triggers: positive for right, negative for left (iirc). Originally posted by CeliriaRose:I'm on Windows 8.1Īll the XBOne drivers have the above issue, which is not due to differences in XInput but due to Microsoft changing how the analog triggers are mapped onto DirectInput axes by the driver.
